Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 1, 2026

Vectalyze ("we", "us", "our") operates vectalyze.io and the Vectalyze desktop application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication information provided through our sign-in provider (Clerk). We do not store passwords directly.

Files you upload

Images you upload for conversion are processed on our servers and deleted immediately after conversion is complete. We do not retain your source images or converted output files beyond the duration of a single conversion request. Files are transmitted over HTTPS and never shared with third parties.

Usage data

We collect anonymised usage data including conversion counts, file types, output formats, and error rates. This data is used to improve the service and does not identify individual users.

Payment information

Subscription and purchase payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve the Vectalyze service, send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, important service notices), enforce our Terms of Service and free-tier limits, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data storage and security

Your account data is stored in a cloud database hosted in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we implement reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you discover a security vulnerability, please contact us at security@vectalyze.io.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your authentication session. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from signing in.

5. Third-party services

Vectalyze uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting and edge network). We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

6. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@vectalyze.io.

8. Children's privacy

Vectalyze is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
